Katsina State governorship election collation officer, Prof Muazu Abubakar Gusau, make the announcement say APC candidate get 859,892 votes while Senator Yakubu Lado of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) get 486,620 votes.
Gusau talk say, "Umaru Dikko Radda of the All Progressives Congress, don meet di requirement of di law, he don win and e don dey elected". Parties wey follow trail far behind na NNPP wey get 8,263 votes; PRP get 4,226 votes; SDP get 1,049 votes and LP get 560 votes among others.
Gusau talk say, the total number of registered voters for di state na 3,516,719 while accredited voters na 1,399,291. He add say, di total valid votes na 1,365,848, rejected votes na 20,579 and total votes cast na 1,386,427. He talk say results for 88 polling units no follow because of over-voting and violence, among others.
As di result dey come in from the 34 local government areas of the state, Radda win for 33 while Senator Yakubu Lado of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) win for only one local government of Kankara, where he get 27984 votes and Radda get 21,652 votes.
Dis election wey happen on Saturday 18th na peaceful one except for some issues of violence and over-voting wey happen for different polling units, e make dem cancel some of di results. The Katsina governorship election result different from February 25 presidential election wey ruling APC lose to opposition PDP.
