Naija First Lady, Remi Tinubu, don call for edukashun wey go dey sensitive to gender, wey go challenge stereotypes and drive equity.
Madam Tinubu make dis call during launch of #WeAreEqual Campaign wey Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) organize for Angola.
Tinubu talk say edukashun play important role for shape attitudes, beliefs, and behaviour from small age. She say: "When gender equity become part of our edukashun system, societal attitudes go change, boys and men go learn to respect and value women and girls as equals, and dem go reduce violent behaviour."
Tinubu say edukashun remain critical component of any progressive society, and call for inclusion of activities wey go help dismantle notions of gender specific roles for teaching.
She condemn high rate of gender and domestic violence, especially rape and defilement, say educated and well-informed person no go partake for such.
