Protesters for Benin City no dey care about rain, dem still come out for King Square around 8:00 a.m. to continue dem protest for day two. More people join dem as the rain stop around 11:00 a.m. Dem block King Square and other major roads, security people dey there to make sure say no be breakdown of law and order.
Some activists tell the youth say make dem no lose hope, make dem no allow demself to be used as agents of destruction, but make dem peacefully make dem voices heard. Dem say dem want the president to reduce the high cost of governance, make insecurity stop, open the borders, and suspend import duty so that food prices can come down.
Dem also talk say dem want the reversal of fuel subsidy, make food and gas prices come down. "Life hard, we no fit dey implement policies wey dey make life hard for us," one of dem say. "Hungry man dey angry, we no fit use our money dey enjoy while we dey suffer."
