Some protesters for Jigawa state no dey care about the 24-hour curfew wey the state government impose on Friday, dem still dey protest for the streets. The spokesperson for Jigawa Police Command, Lawan Shiisu, tell News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) say dem arrest over 50 suspected hoodlums on Thursday.
Shiisu also confirm say the protesters return to the streets for Zai, Shuwarin and Gumel town, but him no fit give the number of those wey dem arrest on Friday. Him say the police and other security agencies dey on top of the situation for the state, and dem don succeed in dispersing the hoodlums from the streets.
"Dem dey bring dem in, but I no fit give you the number now," him say. "For Gumel, we no receive any information about resistance from the hoodlums."
But NAN gather say hundreds of youth still dey march for the streets on Friday, the second day of the nationwide protest for Dutse and Gumel Local Government Areas. One witness wey no want him name to be mentioned tell NAN say the security agencies dey battle with the protesters wey want to enter public buildings and stores near Zai area of Dutse.
