Di Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) and Transparency International Nigeria (TI-Nigeria) don warn state govnor's to dey careful and ask for advice from lawyers before dem sign any contract.
Dis warning come after French court seize three Nigerian presidential jets because of contract problem between Ogun State govment and Chinese company, Zhongshan Fucheng Industrial Investment Co. Ltd.
Auwal Musa Rafsanjani, di Executive Director of CISLAC/TI-Nigeria, talk say dem worry about di legal battle wey start from 2007 agreement for Ogun Free Trade Zone. Rafsanjani say di problem wey come from dis contract don cause Nigeria big money and spoil di country's name for outside.
"Govnor's and govment officials must understand di legal and ethical tins wey dey inside international agreements before dem enter into dem. Nigeria no need anoda problem wey go make am lose more money," Rafsanjani talk.
Rafsanjani also criticize federal govment for allowing govnor's to borrow money without thinking of di risk. He say personal interest dey make govment officials enter into bad agreements, like di P&ID case.
"CISLAC/TI-Nigeria dey remind govment say dem must be careful and do tins right when dem dey sign international contracts to avoid problem," Rafsanjani add.
