President Bola Tinubu don clear air say no interest group dey manipulate am for di ongoing economic reforms. Im say im campaign no get any strings or indebtedness to any individual or institution.
Tinubu receive Islamic leaders led by Bala Lau for State House on Thursday, say im victory for polls na divine intervention, careful planning, and diligence in getting support from Nigerians.
"I no get cabal. I no get sponsors. Di money I spend for elections na my personal fortune," Tinubu yarn. "At some point, di odds be against me; banks be locked. But Allah, di Almighty God, say I go be di president. Mine na to follow di leading and teaching of di Almighty God."
Tinubu say protests fuelled by anger and hate fit degenerate into violence and set di country backwards. "We dey rework social welfare scheme to reach ward level, wey be closest to our people. We go ensure say we re-establish connection with di wards again, so we fit give allowances to di poor and di vulnerable."
"Di student loans go pay for school fees. Dey go get monetary support for di education of our children. Di consumer credit go support citizens to buy cars and houses, and dem fit repay gradually. We don increase di minimum wage by more than 100 per cent," Tinubu add.
Tinubu say sponsors of protests place their selfish ambitions above national interest. "Dem no love our country. Dem no understand citizenship. Dem get alternative passports. Dem dey for different parts of di world, hold meetings virtually."
"We no want to turn Nigeria into Sudan. We dey talk about hunger, not burials. We need to be careful. We should be careful with premature politics; politics of hate, and anger. Di internet don make am possible to hold meetings for artificial settings. Dem hold meetings and sponsor anger," Tinubu tell di religious leaders.
For im remarks, di leader of di delegation, Mr Lau, assure di president of support with prayers and more sensitization. "Peace be paramount for us for di country. Di first thing Abraham ask God for na peace and guidance," Mr Lau note.
