Yobe State Government don declare Monday, 8th July 2024, as public holiday to celebrate Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1446.
The announcement dey for statement wey the State Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji release. The statement come yarn say the public holiday go give civil servants chance to pray for peace and plenti harvest for the year.
As Prime 9ja Online report, the Sultan of Sokoto and President General Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, don declare Sunday, 7th July 2024, as the first day of Muharram, the first month in the new Islamic year.
The Sultan come follow dis up with goodwill message to Nigerian Muslims, and encourage them to keep praying for peace, progress and development of the country.
