One major socio-cultural group for Nasarawa State, Alago Ikweyi Ggayi Development Union, don beg Nasarawa State Government make dem waka straight for the land palaver wey dey worry Alago and Tiv farmers for Keana Local Government Area.
The group yarn say the fight fit turn bloody war if nobody no settle am.

For press conference wey dem do for Lafia on Thursday, chairman for the group, Mohammed Oshafu, blow whistle say Tiv farmers from Benue and Taraba states dey try to take Alago people land for Nasarawa by force.
Oshafu yarn say the Tiv people dey bring their brothers from other states to come Nasarawa to cause wahala and make life hard for Alago farmers. Im say dem dey worry Alago people for their farms every day.
"Before planting season for Keana, Alago people dey normally clear their land first. But this time, Tiv farmers come out, stop our people and threaten them, say the land no be part of Nasarawa State again," Oshafu tok.
Im come add am say Tiv people dey fear Alago people, dey carry them go Daudu for Benue State by force and keep them for local cell anyhow.
According to Oshafu, even though the Osana of Keana (Traditional ruler) dey try make peace between Keana and Benue border communities, Tiv people still dey cause trouble.
"The recent thing wey happen on Monday, June 24, 2024, na how dem attack three Alago young men wey just finish school and wan start farm for bush. One of them, Musa Agade, die straight, the other two survive but dem wound bad," he yarn.
Oshafu come talk say the fight no good for anybody, e no good for Alago people, e no good for peace for the state, and e no good for how food go reach people for Nasarawa. Im come beg Nasarawa State Government make dem find way to stop the killings and the wahala wey Tiv people dey give Alago people.
But Tiv Development Association for the state, yarn through their president, Simeon Apusu, say Tiv farmers no be troublemakers and them no like to fight.
Apusu come cry out say the wahala don chase hundreds of Tiv farmers comot from Keana town and nearby villages.
Im come beg both Nasarawa and federal governments make dem do the thing wey dem dey do already wey go settle the boundary problem between Nasarawa and Benue states once and for all.
Governor Abdullahi Sule, through im Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Special Duties, and NGOs, Margaret Otaki Elayo, come show worry about the matter when e visit the place wey people wey run from the fight dey stay (IDPs camps).
Sule promise say im go find out wetin cause the fight and im go make sure say people for all the 13 LGAs for Nasarawa State safe.
