NDLEA nab 85 drug suspects for Kano nightclub

 

For one statement wey dem release on top Tuesday for Kano, Abubakar Idris-Ahmad, wey be NDLEA commander for di state, talk say dem arrest di pipo based on complaints wey dem get about drug-related activities wey dey happun for di club.

E talk say members of di community wey dey host di club bin complain say di club don turn to drug joint.

E add say di pipo wey dem arrest na 55 men and 30 women, and dem recover substances wey dem suspect say na Indian hemp from dem.

Mr Idris-Ahmad still talk say some of di suspects bin try run comot by jump over fence, while some others bin try hide inside deep freezers but all of dem still enter NDLEA hand.

"Di arrest of di suspects na big win for NDLEA as dem dey fight against drug-related activities for Kano State.

"Drug abuse and trafficking get serious negative effect, no be only on individuals, but also on di society," e yan.

E talk say dem dey interrogate di suspects so dem go fit identify di drug dealers among dem before dem carry dem go court.

"Di pipo wey dey use drug go dey refer to di appropriate unit for counselling," e add.

Mr Idris-Ahmad still call on di public make dem report any drug-related activities wey dem see to di agency as drug dealers no go get where to hide for di state.
