According to am, "Di level of drug abuse for Plateau State na 11%, and e mostly dey consumed by pipo wen dey between 16-64 years old. Dis 11% na 240,000 pipo, including those wen dey sell di drugs, those wen dey consume dem and those wen dey cultivate hemp and cannabis.
"Dis one show say di level of drug abuse for di state dey very alarming and e dey very scary because drug abuse and crime dey related.
"Di rate wen pipo dey smuggle drugs for di state dey high as we don make seizures wen include 633 suspects wen consist of 600 males and 32 females. We don also make seizure of about 4 tonnes of different kinds of drugs.
"Di situation no dey reduce for dis new year, instead e dey increase. Di more effort wen we dey put to stop am, na so we dey see di business dey thrive.
"But di good news na say, dis seizure wen we don make na proof say we dey win di war against drugs, and we no go relent. Because if we fit take about 4 tonnes of drug comot from circulation, we don succeed in reduce crime for society."
