Na di Ministry director of press and public relations, Muhammed Manger, release statement on behalf of di Sports Minister, sey contrary to di report, di Ministry no request or receive any such amount from government or individual.
"For di news wey we see for some section of media wey talk sey we request N21 billion to fix National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, we wan make am clear say di Ministry no request or receive any such amount from government or individual," Manger tok.
"Di Sports and Youth Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare, for one of di interview wey e get with newsmen for Lagos last week, just mention di figure as one of di estimated amount from di proposals wey dem receive. E show say around dat amount go dey needed for di complete rehabilitation and upgrade of di national edifice based on submissions wey different companies and contractors submit.
"Di Ministry come wan clear for everybody wey no sabi di due process wey dey involved for execution of projects by Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government. Make dem know sey no request nor approval don happen because e still dey under review of proposals," di statement take end.
