Kidnappers abduct Deputy Gov’ship candidate for Cross River

Police command for Cross River don confirm say Mr Agbor Onyi, the deputy governorship candidate for the Young Peoples Party (YPP) and three others bin dem kidnap along Calabar-Ogoja highway. The command spokesperson, SP Irene Ugbo, bin yarn say dem kidnap the victims on Thursday evening as dem dey travel go Northern Cross River for the Saturday election.

Ugbo come talk say one of the people wey dem kidnap na Imojara Imojara, wey be Assistant Supretendent of Immigration. Mrs Sandara Egbung, wey be wife of Gov. Ben Ayade aide, na another person wey dem kidnap.

According to one person wey no wan make im name appear, dem bin demand for N60 million ransom before dem reduce am to N40 million. But the police don talk say dem dey work hard to make sure dem release dem victims.

The Commissioner of Police for Election don give order make dem take drastic action. Dem wan ensure say everything go dey alright before Saturday wey na election day. The police don warn the kidnappers say dem go find dem and bring dem to justice.
